Speech recognition runs on your device, for dictation and meetings. After the speech model is installed, transcription works offline.

For cleanup and summaries, use local AI or choose a cloud provider. You decide how your text is processed.

Cloud AI receives transcript text and any context you enable. Local AI needs its own model installed. No cloud AI is required for transcription.

Is Brisk available to download?

Not yet. Join the waitlist to hear when Brisk is available. The examples on this page illustrate the product, not a public release.

Does everything happen on my Mac?

Speech recognition runs on your Mac. Optional cleanup and meeting notes can use local AI or a cloud provider. If you enable cloud processing, transcript text and enabled context are sent to that provider.

Can I use Brisk offline?

Yes, local transcription works after you download the speech model. Local AI also needs its model installed. Features using a cloud provider require an internet connection.

How does meeting capture work?

Brisk captures your microphone and the call audio on your Mac. It produces a speaker-labeled transcript, and you can add written notes or generate an AI summary. Make sure participants know you are recording and that you have the consent you need.

What happens to my original words?

Your original transcript remains available alongside cleaned dictations and meeting summaries. You can review the source material and export meeting notes or transcripts as Markdown or PDF.

What Mac do I need?

An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14.2 or later. Setup includes downloading a speech model and granting microphone, recording, and text insertion permissions.
